Covered Wagon Cookout and Wild West
Covered Wagon Cookout and Wild West
Our trip to Wyoming at the beginning of the National parks trip continued on to Jackson, Wyoming. We drove south to Jackson, a small city In the Jackson Hole valley of Wyoming, from Grand Tetons. A beautiful evening trip with The Horse Drawn, Covered Wagons to dinner and a show was planned in Jackson. We got in an actual covered wagon and rode out to the cookout area. It was an exciting experience.
When we got there, they were in the process of setting up a variety of elaborate barbeque items on the tables for an outdoor cookout. Since it was a Buffett, we were asked to get in line to help ourselves to the food. As we went through the chow line, I helped myself to a lot of food. In fact, when I reached the end, I wondered how I was going to eat it all. Everyone filled their plates with food and settled down to a sumptuous and fun meal. The eating continued until the show started.
The Band was ready to entertain with great Western music just like it was shared at nights around the campfire in The American Old West, also known as the Wild West. This also refers to the period of the latter half of the 19th century.
The show was delightful. Other than the beauty of the area, my opinion is that I can’t say enough good things about the whole experience. In the end, we went back to the hotel. We all loved the covered wagon trip to and from the place set up for dinner.
Not only do I highly recommend this trip for everyone visiting the area, but I would go back there in a heartbeat for this awesome family vacation in and around Wyoming.
sounds like fun
Thanks Julie for your comment. Everyone should do it when still young. Was a blast. Loved every minutes of it.
